The Challenge:
How do you transform a transient space into a high-energy destination? Working with The Business Creative, the end goal was to eliminate ‘dead time’ for travelling families, turning a stagnant airport transit zone into a vibrant, sensory-heavy landmark. The challenge was to engage a distracted, international audience and shift their mindset from travel stress to holiday excitement before they even reached their gate.

The Concept:
The creative response centred on ‘hybrid environments’ merging physical play with Augmented Reality. My role spanned from initial blue-sky R&D and concept artwork to the execution of large-scale environmental graphics and App UX. The result - multi-sensory escapes themed across the Sea, Sky and Outer Space.

Moving beyond standard ‘decoration’, I focused on immersive storytelling that extended the narrative from the physical footprint into the guest's digital world through social-ready moments.

The Experience:
World of Wonder and the Sky Zone expansion offer a total shift in the guest's emotional state, moving families from travel fatigue to genuine wonder. By synchronising physical play with digital interaction, we transformed a stressful transition into an unforgettable adventure.

This project proved that story-led design can bridge the gap between logistical necessity and memory-making, ensuring the holiday begins the second a family enters the zone.
