The Challenge:
Traditional holiday entertainment often suffers from a ‘passive barrier’ – the audience watches, but they don’t always inhabit it. Working with The Business Creative, the challenge was to break the ‘fourth wall’ by developing immersive multimedia content and brand identities that could bridge the gap between passive viewing and active play. The goal was to create Haven’s ‘next-generation’ entertainment formats, ensuring the narrative extended far beyond the stage.
The Concept:
My creative response centred on establishing a cohesive visual narrative using striking digital graphics for large-scale LED environments. Rather than treating screens as simple ‘backdrops’, I designed these digital worlds to be the primary storytelling engine – creating a visual language that felt cinematic in scale yet functioned as a responsive playground for real-time engagement. By aligning the brand identity with the narrative flow, the result was worlds that felt both grand and intimately interactive.
The Experience:
By leveraging smartphone technology, we enabled families to participate in a dynamic series of games and puzzles in real-time. This created a frictionless, multi-layered journey where the story transitioned seamlessly from the physical stage to the guest’s own device, turning the audience into active participants in the worlds we crafted.
The emotional output exceeded expectations. Families weren’t just watching a story; they were winning it together, creating a high-energy moment that redefined the standard for holiday entertainment.
